During this online session, you’ll discover:

The event will be hosted via Microsoft Teams and a link to access this online platform will be provided at least a week prior to the event date.

If you haven’t used Microsoft Teams before, you should check ahead of time that your system and software will allow you to access the event. Microsoft provides a list of supported browsers here if you don’t currently have the app.

Having the Microsoft Teams app already installed is the simplest way of ensuring you can access the event, and once you have downloaded it from your app provider you can use it to join the event as a guest without needing to register.

Lydia: Senior Interaction Designer

I am a Senior Interaction Designer, with 12 years public sector and design experience within at the Home Office. I have worked within the industry of user centred design but also studied, delivered teaching and volunteered in this area of technology.  

Graham: Manchester and Glasgow Principal Engineer


I am the Manchester and Glasgow Principal Engineer. Since joining the Home Office in 2021 I’ve worked on a range of projects from Civil Registration through to Policing and currently, I’m the Shared Application Services (SAS) lead for Police and Public Protection technology. Our capability is at the core of Home Office evolution and our role is to enable transformation through improved business efficiency. 


Osama: Technology Delivery Manager

I am an experienced Technology Delivery Manager, managing complex technology projects from inception to completion, to ensure successful project delivery. My role is to work with Operational teams and other Digital, Data and Technology professionals to deliver critical services for the organisation and UK citizens that enhance operational efficiency.


George: Technical Lead Recruiter for Engineering

I’m a Technical Lead Recruiter with 7 years of recruitment experience. I have worked with several central government and public sector organisations, looking after both contract and permanent recruitment. My focus is on the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for the Engineering profession, whilst studying an MSc degree in Technology Management. My priority is to enable growth and optimise the transition of internal systems, through recruiting and attracting candidates with the right skills and potential to build, design and deliver critical services that impact millions of UK citizens every day. 



Kirsty: Technical Lead Recruiter for User Centred Design (UCD)

I am an experienced Technical Lead Recruiter, leading on identifying suitable tech specialists to join the Home Office. I enjoy recruiting candidates and helping Digital, Data and Technology teams fill their roles. Our mission is to head hunt people with the right skills and the potential to build, design and deliver critical services that impact millions of UK citizens everyday. I specialise in User Centred Design (UX) roles but I also help to headhunt for other digital roles to fulfil the Home Office’s mission.
